| Lunch at Riverfront
When: Wednesday, September 1 (Please note change of date from originally planned a couple months ago)
What: Lunch at Riverfront Restaurant, the old "Michael's Landing", 2nd St in Corvallis
Cost each: $7.75 - 8.75 for a lunch. Other options available.
Meet: 11:30am at Riverfront Restaurant at 603 NW Second St in Corvallis
Total time: 2 hours

Enticements: This is the old Michael's Landing location which overlooks the Willamette River. This is a new eatery which is being managed by Chuong Nguyen who is a Halo technician at HP. The menu will be long on Vietnamese specialties such as pho (beef noodle soup) and barbecued beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp. A sushi bar will take center stage in the upper dining room. Steak and pasta dishes also will be available and the restaurant will have a full bar. Discount for those who eat here for the first time at 20%. Please bring your HP badge.

| Campout Eastern Oregon
Meet: RV Caravan to Pendleton or meet at
Wild Horse Camp Ground outside Pendleton.
Activities include: National Historic Oregon
Trail Interpretive Center in Baker City, ride
the steam powered Sumpter Valley Railroad
to and thru a historic gold-mining district. Visit
Hells Canyon, North America’s deepest gorge.
Ride the tram to the 8200 foot summit of
Mt. Howard. Visit art galleries and foundries
in Joseph, OR.
Camping will be at Wallawa Lake State Park and
private camp grounds. Co-hosts for this fun-filled event are Jan

this adventure

| Day of Caring
What: Our club volunteers will set up, serve
lunch and clean up for the United Way Day of Caring. Last
year we served about 350 lunches. This year it will be
combined with the Business Volunteers and the OSU Students.
Cost each: free lunch for our volunteers
Meet: OSU Campus at 11:00 a.m. until about 2:00 p.m.

| Tour of Hazelnut Farm, Hwy 99W at milepost 95 south of Monroe
This unique tour is like a restaurant or bakery, they make
products as needed, and so they are always fresh, delicious
treats free of preservatives. Their gift shop contains a wide
selection of candy and nuts, from hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts
to chocolate covered hazelnuts, cherries, blueberries to name a
few Sharon Butterfield chair.
